POSITIONS

Commander
The commander of any game is the highest ranking Tribe Council Member. The commander should be skilled at the following:

1. Be able to deploy troops and resources effectively for both defensive and offensive operations.
2. Be able to use the Command Screen and Command Consoles. 3. Accuracy with fixed/portable plasma turrets, Mortar and rocket turrets.
The tribe Leader will evaluate your performance as a commander. If your unable to preform your duties you will be removed from the position.

Sniper
Snipers play a key role on most maps. Snipers should be able to use terrain to there advantage. The Sniper should be skilled at the following:

1. Be able to use the laser rifle with accuracy.
2. Be able to use terrain to there advantage to get a sniper position.
3. Be able to effectivly report the location of enemy units to other team members.
4. Be able to take out a stationary target with one or two shots at most.
5. Snipers must wear light armor.

Mortar Teams
Three man mortar teams may be used strategicly to destroy fixed targets such as Turrets, radars, and fortified positions. Mortar teams operate in teams of three. One man operates the mortar another operates the targeting laser and the third provides cover fire and defense for the other two.. The mortar operator takes targeting orders from his/her partner who may or may not have orders from a commander. Mortar teams must be able to:

1. Communicate clearly with other members of the mortar team.
2. Aim accuratly with both the targeting laser and mortar.
3. The man providing cover should be able to provide cover fire and protect the rest of the mortar team on the approach and withdrawl from the target location.

LPC/HPC Piloting
Light or Heavy personnel carriers may be used to transport troops to various locations. While anyone can pilot a transport It's better to have a skilled pilot (it limits the number of body bags we use). LPC/HPC pilots should be able to do the following:

1. Be able to land and pick up/drop troops in "hot zones" and carry them to safety.
2. Be able to avoid incomming enemy fire.
3. Be able to avoid smashing into solid objects.

Defensive
Defense is key, protecting your base from enemy attacks is important. Defensive players must:

1. Be able to use the command screen to monitor and track incomming enemy troops.
2. Be able to repair damage equipment and defenses.
3. Be able to set up defenses in and around the base (turrets, radar, and other defensive equipment.)
4. Be able to fight in closed areas such as hallways and small rooms.

Offensive
Offense is also key to winning a battle. Offensive players should:

1. Be able to navigate and know key locations on any given map.
2. Be able to gain access to the enemy base with relative ease.
3. Be able to fight in close quarters.
4. Be able to destroy key equipment and/or capture objects.

All Purpose
All Purpose players are skilled at just about everything from defensive tactics to mortar use. AP players may be asked to perform various tasks during a mission. AP Players should know all of the above areas.
